Lot 2204 ARCHIVE OF MEDAL OF HONOR SIGNATURES & RELATED

MATERIAL. This impressive archive contains the signatures of scores and scores of United States of America Medal of Honor recipients. Nearly all are accompanied by a photograph with information on each recipient. Signatures have been collected on envelopes, cards, letters, personal photos, and a variety of other media. Of particular note is the signature of Smedley D. Butler, a double Medal of Honor winner; a signed check by General Daniel Sickles; and a signed card by General David Stanley. Other items in this exceptional lot include a pair of binoculars signed on the inside of the case "Joe Foss" with Certificate of Authenticity and a book titled "Top Guns" by Joe Foss and Matthew Brennan, a LIFE magazine dated June 7, 1943 with Joe Foss on the cover signed "Good Luck Joe Foss", a book titled "Heroes of World War II", a book titled "Vietnam Veterans Memorial Directory of Names", a book titled "Korean War Heroes", a book titled "Medal of Honor Recipients 1863-1978", a book titled "Medal of Honor: Portraits of Valor Beyond the Call of Duty", a book titled "The Congressional Medal of Honor", a book titled "Thunder Below!" signed by Eugene Fluckey who won the Medal of Honor and 4 Navy Crosses, a book titled "War Heroes" and a notebook of Captain Roger Donlon given to him by his hometown of Saugerties, NY. Donlon was the first Vietnam MOH winner. CONDITION: nearly all signatures seem to be in superb condition and remain bright and legible. Books are used, but abused. Binoculars are functional.
